What makes CGF Hemp a quality product?

At Cedar Glade Farm, we have been growing indoor hydroponic hemp for 4 years. We started growing hydro hemp beginning with my 25 years of experience growing tobacco. These 2 plants have a lot in common when it comes to production. In 1988, I received a B.S. degree in Agriculture from Tennessee Tech University. I worked for many years in the Agriculture industry in fertilizer and farm chemical sales, working along with producers to optimize their production. I was able to apply my experience and knowledge to our hemp production and quickly begin producing high quality hemp products. At Cedar Glade Farm, we start by sourcing our hemp clones from very reputable Tennessee producers. We are fortunate to have 2 fantastic clone producers close to us. They provide us with high quality clones with proven, consistent genetics. Both are always on the cutting edge when it comes to new and better varieties of hemp.

We bring our new clones to the farm and immediately transplant them into 4 inch grow containers. These grow containers are placed on flood tables inside the nursery room. The flood tables allow us to feed the new plants with the proper nutrients to give them a great start. The nursery room is totally climate controlled with grow lights that we adjust to the perfect settings for the young plants’ needs.

After 2 weeks, the properly developed plants are transplanted into 7 gallon grow containers filled with a custom grow medium. These newly transplanted hemp plants are transferred to large flood tables and placed in the grow room. Here, the hemp plants enjoy the perfect climate conditions controlled by a digital control center that constantly monitors temperature and humidity. The hemp plants enjoy a specially formulated diet custom formulated for us by our nutrient supplier. The grow lights are set on custom settings to optimize growth.

After 4 weeks in the grow room, the plants are ready to go to the greenhouse for flowering. In the greenhouse, the hemp plants are given full natural sunlight. They are fed a diet custom formulated for the flowering process to optimize yields and maximum terpene production. The climate is constantly monitored and controlled. After 8-10 weeks in the greenhouse, the flowers are at their peak and ready for harvest.

After the flowers are carefully harvested, they are placed in a specially designed drying/curing room. The flowers are dried at the perfect rate and temperature to maintain quality and terpene preservation. The drying process takes 5-7 days and the curing process lasts for a minimum of 3 weeks. The result is a quality hemp flower that can be enjoyed by smoking or infusing in our other hemp product lines.
